Vista Gadgets vs. Google Desktop Sidebar
I wanted to find out what uses more RAM / system resources, so I did a little independent testing today. Here are my results:
With Vista Gadgets (878 MB) *with clock, calendar, temp, system mon
Without Vista Gadgets (838 MB)
RAM FOOTPRINT Δ = 40 MB
With Default Google Desktop (916 MB)
Without Google Desktop (827 MB)
RAM FOOTPRINT Δ = 89 MB
Winner? Appears to be Vista if you want a smaller RAM footprint.
